Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Emergency Interventions: Provide immediate and advanced medical care to critically ill and injured animals in the emergency department.
  • Critical Care Management: Oversee the ongoing critical care of hospitalized patients, ensuring optimal treatment and monitoring.
  • Diagnostic Procedures: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and procedures to rapidly assess and diagnose critical conditions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other veterinary specialists, including surgeons, internal medicine specialists, and support staff, to provide comprehensive care for critical patients.
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing clear and compassionate updates on the condition, prognosis, and treatment plan for their pets.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
  • Board certification in Emergency and Critical Care (DACVECC or DECVIM-CA).
  • Valid state veterinary license.
  • Proven experience in emergency and critical care veterinary medicine.
